About Our Speaker:

JULIE R. WOODS is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She is a Probate Attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and was the Research Attorney for the Probate Division of the Contra Costa Superior Court. Ms. Woods served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Charitable Trusts Section of the California Department of Justice. She also worked in private practice in civil and probate litigation, administration, and estate planning. She has been an adjunct law professor, multi-published author, frequent public speaker, and active member of the legal community. Ms. Woods has been a member of local bar associations, the Probate Curriculum Committee of the Center for Judicial Education and Research, and the Probate and Mental Health Advisory Committee of the Judicial Council of California. She earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and B.A. degrees in English Literature and Philosophical Ethics, Law, and Moral Value Theory from the University of Southern California
